August-Early September | Introduction to research and scientific method Introduction to Engineering Design Process Discuss project with students Brainstorm project ideas/topics Begin paperwork and journaling Identify possible mentors if needed |

Guidelines
- Quad Chart instructions. Required of senior projects in region 6. Optional for the all the other regions and the state fair, but appreciated by judges.
