NC Science Fair Foundation's 2021 Competition Will be Hosted Virtually
The NC Science Fair Foundation (NCSFF), proud sponsor of the NC Science and Engineering Fair, is pleased to announce that virtual competitions will be held in all 9 Regions and Statewide in the Spring of 2021. We remain committed to providing equitable access to opportunities and will host all competitions in a virtual environment in order to ensure that health and safety concerns are not barriers to participation.
To qualify for the state level fair, you must first compete and win in a North Carolina Regional Science & Engineering Fair. To prepare, make sure you
- review the 2021 Frequently Asked Questions to learn how the fair will be different this year.
- read over the rules
- decide if you will do a science or engineering project
- complete the proper forms BEFORE you start your project
- review all the other resources provided for students
State Fair Dates
- March 5- Senior Division
- March 12-Junior and Elementary Divisions
- March 27- Senior Division
- April 17- Junior Division
- April 24- Elementary Division
Award ceremonies for each division will be the afternoon following the competition.
For those students whose research projects, congratulations for being selected by the nine regional science and engineering fairs in North Carolina to attend the state level North Carolina Science and Engineering Fair! Visit STEM Wizard to complete your registration and pay the $25 registration fee (includes a T-shirt).
Complete this form to request financial support for a student to participate in the NC Science and Engineering Fair (state level). Funds are limited and are not guaranteed. The NC Science Fair Foundation will contact the guardian based on the information provided in this form in order to verify the financial need and to discuss the availability of funds.
